The first half of 2015 has shown a continuance of the upward trend in both dollar volumes and transaction volumes displayed in 2014 for every town in the Roaring Fork Valley. During the same period, there has been mixed results for median prices. Aspen median prices have dropped somewhat (Homes -13.73% Condos/Townhomes -8.91%) during the first half of 2015 compared to 2014. At the same time, Snowmass Village has been catching up for its appreciation lag in 2014 here in the first half of 2015 (Homes +147.50% Condos/Townhomes +38.53). Both in the first half of 2014 and the first half of 2015 Aspen recorded ten home sales over $10M. Sometimes the statistics get skewed by these large purchases, but this was not the case this year.
